Jade-Aden has been contracted for the first land purchase and commercial development at Dorset Innovation Park Enterprise Zone in Wool on the behalf of Norco GRP.
Norco GRP is a Dorset-based leading developer of lightweight composite structures and mouldings, and their new production facility promises to open up a number of highly skilled engineering and manufacturing job opportunities for young people in the local area.
The land purchased covers 2.09 acres and the new production facility will cover 35,252ft. The development is the first commercial construction project to be approved under the Local Development Order (LDO) developed for the Enterprise Zone. This simplified planning system, alongside support from the Dorset Council, meant that Norco GRP received the sign off for their project within just 28 days of application.
Mark Northey, Managing Director of Norco GRP, had this to say: “The Dorset Innovation Park offered us the welcome opportunity to continue to grow our business in Dorset. The site is secure with CPNI perimeter fencing, security gatehouse and 24/7 access, which are requirements from our customers.”
“In addition to the creation of skilled engineering and manufacturing jobs and multiple opportunities right across the supply chain, the project will also help raise the profile of Dorset and showcase the strategic nature of the county with its defence manufacturing links.”
Jade-Aden are excited to have a significant role in this new development and will be providing structural steel, cladding, roofing, plumbing, electrical and interior works.
